The Modway Empress is a wide, low accent armchair with a leather-look upholstered seat and back on a wood frame. It stands out for its 35.5-inch width, 18.5-inch seat height and a 440 lb weight capacity, which is high for a decorative chair. At $269.43 at Wayfair as of November 3, 2026, it is the lowest of four stores pricing it new, so the current price sits at the bottom of its recent range.
