Our take on the Ashley Valwick Swivel Accent Chair

The Ashley Valwick is a brown upholstered swivel accent chair, 32 inches wide and 32 inches high, built for living rooms, bedrooms and reading corners. The swivel base lets you turn toward a TV, a conversation or a window without moving the chair. At $389.99 at Fischer Furniture as of November 3, 2026, it is the lowest of the three new prices tracked for it. It is a mid-priced accent chair rather than a budget piece, so compare it against other swivel chairs in the $300 to $450 band before buying.

Questions and answers

Is the Ashley Valwick swivel chair worth $389.99?
It is a reasonable price for an upholstered swivel accent chair from a major furniture brand. If you want a compact chair that turns easily, it fits the job; if you need deep lounging support, spend more on a recliner.
How big is the Valwick chair?
It is 32 inches wide and 32 inches high, so it fits in corners and small bedrooms. Check your doorway and stair width before ordering, since the boxed chair is bulkier than its footprint.
Does the chair swivel a full 360 degrees?
The base is a swivel base, so the chair turns freely in place. It is meant for turning toward a TV or a conversation, not for rocking or reclining.
What is in the box?
You get the chair, the swivel base and the hardware needed for assembly. Assembly is usually attaching the base to the seat, and a second person helps when flipping the chair upright.
Is $389.99 the cheapest it gets?
It is the lowest of the three new prices tracked as of November 3, 2026. Accent chairs often drop during holiday sales, so watch the price history before buying if you are not in a hurry.
How does it compare with a glider or recliner?
The Valwick swivels but does not recline or glide. Choose it for looks and turning flexibility; choose a recliner if you want to lean back for long stretches.
Where is the Ashley Valwick Swivel Accent Chair cheapest?
At Fischer Furniture, for $389.99, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Ashley Valwick Swivel Accent Chair?
13 stores we checked sell it, including Fischer Furniture, Belfort Furniture, Detroit Furniture, Ashley, Bel Furniture.
