Our take on the MXFITNESS MX70 Adjustable Dumbbells Evolution Series

The MXFITNESS MX70 Evolution Series is a single adjustable dumbbell that dials from 10 to 70 lbs in 5 lb steps using a rack-and-pinion dial mechanism. Its nylon-reinforced webbed locking tabs and knurled rubber grips are aimed at lifters who want quick weight changes without a full rack. The 36mm grip on the CH version is thicker than most adjustable handles; the KH version uses a slimmer ~29mm grip. The best new price is $649 at mxfitnesssupply.com as of November 4, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no discount to compare against.

Best forHome lifters who want one dumbbell covering 10–70 lbsPeople doing offset or unbalanced loading for rehab and accessory workLifters who prefer a thick 36mm handle (CH version)Buyers replacing a full dumbbell rack in a small space
Pros
  • Wide 10–70 lb range in 5 lb increments
  • Dial and rack-and-pinion changes are faster than swapping plates
  • Allows deliberately unbalanced loading, useful for rehab and offset training
  • Knurled rubber grip stays secure with sweaty hands
  • Nylon-reinforced locking tabs add a safety layer over metal pins
Cons
  • $649 buys one dumbbell, not a pair
  • Only one store sells it new, so no price competition
  • 70 lbs per hand caps heavy pressing and rowing progress
  • Dial and tab mechanism has more parts to wear than a fixed dumbbell
  • 36mm CH grip is too thick for smaller hands; KH grip is the fix

Questions and answers

Is the MX70 sold as a pair?
No. The listed weight is 10–70 lbs per dumbbell, and the $649 price at mxfitnesssupply.com as of November 4, 2026 covers one dumbbell. Budget for two if you want a matched pair.
How does the MX70 compare with a 5–50 lb adjustable dumbbell?
It goes 20 lbs heavier per hand and adjusts in 5 lb steps, which suits pressing and rowing better than most 5–50 lb dial dumbbells. The trade-off is a higher price and a bulkier handle.
What is the difference between the CH and KH versions?
The CH has a ~36mm grip, and the KH has a ~29mm grip. Choose KH if you have smaller hands or find thick handles hard to hold; choose CH if you want a fuller grip for pressing.
Can I load the two sides unevenly?
Yes. MXFITNESS designs the MX70 to allow a purposefully unbalanced dumbbell, which is why it is marketed for offset weight training and injury recovery. Keep the offset small and build up gradually.
When is the MX70 cheapest?
Only mxfitnesssupply.com lists it new, at $649 as of November 4, 2026, so there is no competing price to wait for. Watch for direct-site promotions rather than store-to-store discounts.
What comes in the box?
The listing covers the dumbbell itself with its dial mechanism and locking tabs. A stand or tray is not stated, so confirm with the seller before assuming one is included.
Where is the MXFITNESS MX70 Adjustable Dumbbells Evolution Series cheapest?
At mxfitnesssupply.com, for $649.00, as of our latest check.
