Our take on the Northlight 7.5' Pre-Lit Hazelton Spruce Pencil Artificial Christmas Tree

The Northlight Hazelton Spruce is a 7.5-foot pencil-profile artificial Christmas tree with a 32-inch base, built for tight spaces like hallways, entryways and small apartments. It comes pre-strung with 400 clear incandescent lights on a plug-in cord with a constant glow, and the PVC branches require assembly and fluffing. At $142.85 at Wayfair as of November 5, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range across six stores, so this is a good moment to buy.

Pros

  • 400 clear lights pre-strung, no separate light purchase

  • PVC branches hold shape season after season
  • Lowest price in its recent range at $142.85
Cons
  • Incandescent bulbs run warmer and use more power than LED
  • Constant light only, no twinkle or multi-function settings
  • Needs assembly and branch fluffing out of the box
  • Pencil shape leaves little room for large ornaments
  • Plug-in cord limits where you can place it

Questions and answers

Is $142.85 a good price for this tree?
Yes. At $142.85 at Wayfair as of November 5, 2026, it is the lowest new price across six stores and sits at the bottom of its recent range. Waiting rarely helps on pre-lit trees once November stock tightens.
How wide is it, and will it fit a small space?
The base is 32 inches across, so it needs roughly a 3-foot circle of floor. That makes it a fit for hallways, entryways and apartment corners where a full tree would not work.
Does it come with lights, and what kind?
Yes, it is pre-lit with 400 clear incandescent bulbs on a plug-in cord. The lights stay constant with no twinkle or dimming settings.
How long does assembly take?
Plan on 30 to 60 minutes. The tree ships unassembled, and the PVC branches need to be spread and shaped before it looks full.
Can it be used outdoors?
No. It is made for indoor placement, and the plug-in incandescent lights are not rated for outdoor use.
How does it compare with a full-width tree?
It gives the same 7.5-foot height with a much smaller footprint, but the narrow profile holds fewer and smaller ornaments. Choose it for space, not for display room.
Where is the Northlight 7.5' Pre-Lit Hazelton Spruce Pencil Artificial Christmas Tree cheapest?
At Wayfair, for $142.85, 34% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Northlight 7.5' Pre-Lit Hazelton Spruce Pencil Artificial Christmas Tree?
10 stores we checked sell it, including Wayfair, Michaels Stores, Walmart, Target, Kohl's.
