Our take on the PEXCHO 62cc Gas Powered Chainsaw 22 Inch 2-Cycle

The PEXCHO 62cc Gas Chainsaw is a two-cycle gas saw with a 22-inch straight bar, a chain brake and an anti-vibration system. The 62cc engine puts it in the class of mid-size gas saws built for felling, bucking and storm cleanup rather than light pruning. It is a budget-brand gas saw, so parts availability and dealer support are the main things to check before buying. No current price was provided for this page, so compare its latest best price against its recent range before you commit.

Best forHomeowners with a few acres and regular storm cleanupFelling and bucking medium to large treesBuyers who want gas power without a pro-brand priceCutting firewood away from power outlets
Pros
  • 62cc engine gives enough torque for a 22-inch bar in hardwood
  • Chain brake is standard safety equipment
  • Anti-vibration system reduces hand fatigue on long cuts
  • Gas power means no cord or battery runtime limit
  • Straight bar suits felling and bucking work
Cons
  • Two-cycle gas means mixing fuel and oil, plus exhaust fumes
  • Heavier and louder than a battery saw of similar bar length
  • Budget brand: parts, service and warranty support can be thin
  • Cold starts and carburetor tuning take practice
  • 22-inch bar is more saw than most casual users need

Questions and answers

Is a 62cc saw too much for occasional yard work?
For light pruning and small limbs, yes. A 62cc saw with a 22-inch bar is sized for felling and bucking; a smaller saw or a battery model is easier to start and carry for occasional trimming.
What fuel mix does a two-cycle chainsaw like this use?
Two-cycle gas saws of this size typically run on a 50:1 gasoline-to-two-cycle-oil mix. Use fresh fuel with a fuel stabilizer and check the manual for the exact ratio.
How does this compare with a pro-brand 60cc saw?
On paper the displacement and bar length are similar. The differences are dealer support, parts availability, build quality and resale value, where established pro brands usually win.
What should I check before buying a budget gas chainsaw?
Confirm that bars, chains and carburetor parts in common sizes fit, and that warranty service is reachable. Check the return window too, since gas saws are hard to test without fuel.
When is the best time to buy a chainsaw?
Gas chainsaws often drop in price in late fall and winter, outside storm season. Watch the price history and buy when the current price sits near the low end of its recent range.
