Is the G440 MAX HL worth $299.00?

If you need help launching a fairway wood, the forgiveness and high flight justify the price. Faster swingers who want a low, penetrating flight should look at the LST instead.

How does the HL differ from the standard G440 MAX?

The HL build uses a lighter setup and an ultralight grip to raise launch and swing speed. The head shape and CarbonFly Wrap crown are shared with the standard MAX.

Can I adjust the loft?

Yes. The hosel adjusts loft by plus or minus 1.5 degrees, so you can fine-tune trajectory.

What flexes are available?

Listings show stiff and regular flexes with a 65-gram graphite shaft. Extra-stiff is not offered in this build.

What comes in the box?

The club arrives with a matching headcover. The shaft and Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 cord grip are installed.

The best new price is $299.00 at DICK'S Sporting Goods as of November 7, 2026. Ping fairway woods typically drop after the next model cycle, so late-season and post-release windows are worth watching.

Our take on the Ping Women's G440 MAX HL Fairway Wood

The Ping G440 MAX HL is a high-launch fairway wood built for golfers who need help getting the ball airborne. It pairs a CarbonFly Wrap crown with a lightweight build and an ultralight grip to raise launch and add clubhead speed. Ping's MAX head is the most forgiving shape in the G440 fairway line, and the HL version pushes that further with a higher-launching setup. The best new price is $299.00 at DICK'S Sporting Goods as of November 7, 2026, with three stores listing it new.
