Is the PRS SE Silver Sky worth it?

Yes, if you want a Strat-style guitar with a comfortable neck at under $700. It is one of the better-reviewed imports in its price range, and the left-handed version is a rare find.

How does it compare with the US Silver Sky?

The SE uses a poplar body, import pickups and a simpler tremolo, while the US model uses alder and US-made parts. The SE costs a fraction of the price and gets most of the way there for most players.

Is this the left-handed version?

Yes. This listing is the left-handed SE Silver Sky, with the same 25.5-inch scale and 41.8 mm nut as the right-handed model.

What strings does it come with?

It ships with 10-46 gauge strings, a common setup for this scale length. You can switch gauges, but a truss rod adjustment may be needed.

When is the best time to buy?

The $690 price at gear4music.com as of November 4, 2026 is already near the low end of recent prices. Holiday sales and store clearance events are the times to watch for further drops.
