Is the PRS Special Semi-Hollow worth it?

It suits players who want one guitar for humbucker and single-coil sounds. The Core-line build, locking tuners and case justify the cost for gigging and studio players, but budget buyers may prefer an SE model.

How does it differ from the PRS Special 22?

The Special Semi-Hollow adds a chambered body for a lighter, airier tone. The Special 22 is solid-bodied and sounds tighter and more focused.

Does the semi-hollow body cause feedback?

It can at high gain and loud stage volume, since the chambers are open. Most players manage it with lower gain or by standing away from the amp.

What pickups does it have?

Two McCarty III humbuckers at the bridge and neck, plus a PRS Narrowfield in the middle. A five-way switch and push-pull controls give split and blended tones.

What is included in the box?

The guitar comes with a PRS hardshell case. It ships strung with PRS Signature 10-46 strings.
