Is the SmartSpin worth $340?

At $340 at Chewy.com as of November 5, 2026, you pay a premium for automatic raking and app alerts. It makes sense if scooping is a daily burden and your cat accepts a covered box; otherwise a manual box costs far less.

How often do I change the waste drawer?

PetSafe rates the lined drawer for about two weeks of clumps and waste for one cat. Multi-cat homes will need to change it more often.

Does it work with any litter?

It is designed for clumping litter, which the rake can lift into the drawer. Non-clumping litter will not form clumps the rake can remove.

The low entry and covered dome help, but some cats are startled by the rake. Keep the old box nearby during the first weeks and let the cat adjust.

What are the dimensions?

It measures about 20.87 inches wide, 18.9 inches deep and 20.34 inches tall, so allow roughly two feet of floor space in each direction.

Its best new price is $340 at Chewy.com as of November 5, 2026, at the top of its recent range. Watch for holiday sales, when automatic litter boxes often drop.
