Is the PS5 Slim faster than the original PS5?

No. It uses the same CPU, GPU and memory, so games run the same. The gains are size, weight and 1 TB of storage.

Does the PS5 Slim play disc games?

Yes. This Disc Edition has a built-in Blu-ray drive for physical PS5 and PS4 games, plus movies.

Is the vertical stand included?

No. Sony sells the vertical stand separately in most regions; the console stands horizontally out of the box.

Can I add more storage later?

Yes. There is an M.2 SSD slot for a compatible NVMe drive, and USB drives can hold PS4 games.

Is the NBA 2K26 copy physical or digital?

Bundles like this typically include a download code or disc; check the box contents before buying if the format matters to you.

When is this bundle cheapest?

PS5 bundles usually drop during Black Friday, Prime Day and NBA season promotions. The game's value falls fast after launch, so waiting often pays.

Our take on the Sony PlayStation 5 Slim Disc Edition 1 TB NBA 2K26 Bundle

This is Sony's slimmer PS5 with a disc drive, 1 TB of storage, and a copy of NBA 2K26 packed in. The Slim is about 30% smaller than the original PS5 and adds 1 TB of storage instead of 825 GB. It plays the same PS5 library, including disc and digital games, and runs 4K games at up to 120 fps on compatible TVs. The bundle's price tracks the standard Slim Disc price plus the game, so it is worth it mainly if you want NBA 2K26 anyway.
