Is a 1.5-cu ft washer big enough for two people?

Yes for light use. It handles roughly 11 lbs per load, about a few days of clothes for two people. Bedding and large towels will need a laundromat.

Does it need special plumbing?

It connects to a standard faucet with the included hose and drains into a sink or tub. No permanent plumbing is required, but the faucet must be free during the cycle.

Does it wash and spin automatically?

Yes. It runs fill, wash, rinse and spin cycles on its own. Clothes come out damp, not dry, so plan on air-drying or a separate dryer.

How does it compare with a full-size washer?

It costs less and fits where full-size machines cannot, but it holds far less and spins slower. Choose it for space, not for volume.

When is the best time to buy it?

Compact washers like this tend to dip during back-to-school and holiday sales. Check the price history on this page before buying.

Our take on the SUGIFT 1.5-cu ft 11-lb Full Automatic Washing Machine

The SUGIFT 1.5-cu ft is a compact top-load washer with an 11-lb drum, built for small spaces like apartments, dorms and RVs. It runs on standard electric power and handles full automatic wash, rinse and spin cycles. Capacity is the trade-off: it suits one or two people and small loads, not family laundry.
