Is the Suncast Smart Tube Hideaway Hose Reel worth it?

It is a good pick if you want a neat, rust-proof reel with no installation. At $114.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it costs more than a basic cart reel, so the self-guiding wind and hideaway cabinet are what you pay for.

Does it come with a hose?

No. It includes a leader hose to connect the reel to the spigot, but the main garden hose is sold separately.

What hose sizes does it fit?

It is made for standard vinyl garden hose. Very long or large-diameter hoses may not fit, so check the length you plan to store.

Do I need to assemble it?

No assembly is required. It arrives ready to use as a freestanding unit.

Can I leave it outside in winter?

The resin resists weather and rust, but drain the hose and reel before freezing temperatures to avoid trapped water damage.

When is the price lowest?

Garden gear usually drops in late summer and fall clearance. Track the price history and buy when it falls below the recent range.
