- Is the Giraffe Tools 130 ft reel worth it?
- It suits large yards where one wall mount should reach most of the property. You pay more than a basic cart reel, but you get automatic rewind, a locking hose and a swiveling bracket.
- How does it compare with the 100 ft version?
- The 130 ft model adds 30 ft of reach from the same mount, which matters on long lots. The trade-off is more hose weight to pull and a bulkier case.
- What is the hose diameter and flow?
- The hose is 1/2 inch inside diameter, rated at 200 psi working and 600 psi burst. Expect less flow than a 5/8-inch hose, so it is better for watering than for high-volume filling.
- What comes in the box?
- The reel, a mounting bracket, a lead-in hose, a spray nozzle, a fastener kit and four ribbed plastic anchors. You supply the spigot connection and tools.
- Can it mount on siding or a post?
- It needs a wall or post that can carry the weight of the reel plus a full hose. Fasten into framing or a solid post, not just thin siding, and check the 180-degree swing clearance.
- When is the price lowest?
- Garden hose reels usually drop in late fall and winter, outside watering season. The current best is $161.99 at FactoryPure as of November 4, 2026; compare across the four stores before buying.
