Is the TCL Q6 a good TV for the price?

Yes, if you want the largest screen for the least money. It is an entry-level QLED, so expect average black levels and motion rather than premium picture quality.

Is 85 inches too big for a normal room?

It suits rooms where the couch is roughly 9 to 12 feet from the screen. In a smaller room, a 65- or 75-inch model is easier to place and watch.

Does it support 4K streaming apps?

Yes. Titan OS includes the major streaming apps and runs at 4K on the 4K panel.

Do I need a soundbar?

Most owners find the built-in speakers adequate for news but thin for movies. A budget soundbar is the most common add-on.

When is the best time to buy?

Large TVs usually drop around Black Friday and before the Super Bowl. The $848 at Sam's Club as of November 7, 2026 is already low for an 85-inch QLED.

Our take on the TCL 85 Class Q6 Series QLED Smart TV

The TCL Q6 Series is TCL's entry-level QLED line, and this 85-inch model is the largest size in it. It pairs a 4K QLED panel with the 2025 Titan OS smart platform. At $848 at Sam's Club as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the low end of what an 85-inch QLED typically costs, and it is the only new price listed for this size.
