Questions and answers

Is the 20 lb dumbbell worth $39.97?
At $39.97 at Titan Fitness as of November 3, 2026, it is priced in line with budget rubber hex dumbbells and below most name-brand equivalents. That is a fair price for a single 20 lb dumbbell if you need one to complete a set.
Is this sold as a pair or a single?
It is sold as a single dumbbell. Budget for two if you want a matching pair for presses or rows.
What is the handle diameter?
The knurled handle runs 28mm to 32mm depending on the weight, with a 5-inch handle length. That is a standard grip size for most hands.
Will the rubber coating damage my floors?
The rubber coating is designed to protect floors and reduce noise compared with bare iron. On delicate hardwood or vinyl, use a mat, especially with heavier sizes.
How does it compare with adjustable dumbbells?
Fixed hex dumbbells are faster to grab and more durable for dropping, but they take up more space. Adjustables cost less per pound of range but are slower to change and less drop-friendly.
When is it cheapest?
