Is $71.51 a good price for this pair?

It is the only new price tracked as of November 5, 2026, at Amazon, so there is no lower store to compare it to. Neoprene pairs in this weight range commonly sell in the $60 to $90 range, which puts this price in the middle.

Are these sold as a pair or singly?

They are sold as a pair, so one order gets you two 12.5 lb dumbbells.

Will the neoprene damage my floors?

The coating is designed to be floor-friendly on wood, tile and laminate. It is still worth setting them down rather than dropping them.

Can I use these for heavy strength training?

They suit toning, high-rep and accessory work. For heavy pressing or rows, fixed 12.5 lb dumbbells will be too light.

Do they roll when I set them down?

No. The heads are hex-shaped, so they stay put between sets.

What is the weight of each dumbbell?

Each dumbbell weighs 12.5 lb, and the pair totals 25 lb.

Our take on the CAP Barbell 12.5 lb Neoprene Dumbbell Pair

A pair of 12.5 lb fixed dumbbells from CAP Barbell with a neoprene coating over a metal core. The coating protects floors and cuts clanking, and the hex shape keeps them from rolling between sets. At $71.51 at Amazon as of November 5, 2026, they sit at the only new price tracked, so there is no cheaper store to compare against right now.
