Is the Vitamix A2300 worth it over the A2500?

The two share the same 1200-watt motor and 64 oz jar. The A2500 adds three preset programs (smoothie, hot soup, frozen dessert); the A2300 is manual only. If you won't use presets, the A2300 saves money.

Does the A2300 come with a tamper or cookbook?

The listing includes the motor base; check the specific store listing for the jar, lid and tamper, since bundle contents vary by seller.

Can the A2300 handle hot soup?

Yes. The 1200-watt motor and variable speed let you blend soups, and the friction of high-speed blending warms them. Start on low and ramp up to avoid splashing.

Is the jar dishwasher safe?

The plastic 64 oz jar and lid are top-rack dishwasher safe. The motor base should only be wiped down.

When is the A2300 cheapest?

Vitamix blenders commonly drop during Black Friday and end-of-year sales. The best new price was $400 at eBay as of November 5, 2026; watch for refurbished units, which cost less.
