Our take on the Vornado VH204+ Personal Electric Space Heater

The Vornado VH204+ is a small 750W electric space heater built to warm one person, not a whole room. Its deep-pitch fan pushes heated air at your desk, table or feet, and the cabinet stays cool to the touch. It has tip-over and overheat shut-off. At $17.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent price range, well under typical retail for a Vornado personal heater.

Pros
  • Small footprint fits on a desk or under it
  • Quiet fan compared with most space heaters
  • Cool-touch cabinet and tip-over shut-off
  • 750W draws less power than full-size heaters
  • Simple dial controls with two heat settings and fan-only mode
Cons
  • Warms only a small personal zone, not a room
  • No thermostat or timer
  • 750W output is modest for a cold, open space
  • Cord and plug take up outlet space near a desk

About the Vornado VH204+ Personal Electric Space Heater

Questions and answers

Is the Vornado VH204+ worth it?
Yes if you want quiet, focused warmth at a desk or under a table. It is not a substitute for a room heater. At $17.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it is a low-cost way to try one.
How is it different from Vornado's whole-room heaters?
Whole-room models use higher wattage and wider airflow to heat a space. The VH204+ tops out at 750W and is tuned to warm the person in front of it.
How much space does it heat?
It warms a personal zone, roughly the area around a desk chair or a seat. Expect little effect more than a few feet away.
Does it have a thermostat or timer?
No. It has manual heat and fan settings only, so you turn it on and off yourself.
Is it safe to leave on?
It has tip-over and overheat shut-off and a cool-touch cabinet. As with any heater, keep it clear of curtains and paper and unplug it when unattended.
When is it cheapest?
Personal heaters usually drop in price outside winter. The $17.99 eBay price as of November 5, 2026 is already near the bottom of its recent range.
