Our take on the Wade Logan Crofford Modern Corduroy Upholstered Bed with 65'' Tall Headboard

The Wade Logan Crofford is an upholstered platform bed with a 65-inch-tall corduroy headboard, a wood frame and included slats, so no box spring is needed. The tall headboard is the draw: it gives a bedroom a strong vertical anchor and works as a backrest for reading or watching TV in bed. It is a queen-size piece aimed at style-first buyers rather than heavy-duty construction.

Best forRenters and first-apartment buyers who want a statement bed without a high pricePeople who read or watch TV in bed and want a tall, padded backrestBedrooms with high ceilings or bare walls that need a vertical focal pointShoppers who want a platform bed that skips the box spring
Pros
  • 65-inch headboard adds real visual height and a comfortable backrest
  • Corduroy upholstery gives texture that plain linen or velvet beds lack
  • Wood frame with included slats means no box spring purchase
  • Upholstered sides soften the bed's look and feel
  • Queen size fits standard mattresses and most bedrooms
Cons
  • Corduroy shows crushing and marks where you lean and sit
  • Tall headboard limits placement under low ceilings or sloped walls
  • Upholstered fabric needs vacuuming and spot cleaning
  • Wood frame and fabric build is lighter-duty than solid hardwood beds

Questions and answers

Is the Wade Logan Crofford bed worth it?
If you want a tall, textured headboard and a platform bed without a box spring, it is a strong value at its price. Buyers wanting solid hardwood construction should look elsewhere.
Does it need a box spring?
No. The wood frame comes with slats, so a mattress sits directly on them. A box spring would only add unnecessary height.
What mattress size fits it?
This listing is queen size, so use a standard queen mattress, 60 by 80 inches. Check the listing for other sizes before ordering.
How tall is the headboard?
The headboard is 65 inches tall, well above most upholstered beds. Measure your ceiling height and any sloped walls before placing it.
Is assembly difficult?
It comes flat-packed and takes roughly an hour or two with two people. Having a second person helps with the tall headboard.
How do you clean corduroy upholstery?
Vacuum with a brush attachment and blot spills promptly with a damp cloth. Avoid soaking the fabric, which can flatten the pile.
What do buyers say about the Wade Logan Crofford Modern Corduroy Upholstered Bed with 65'' Tall Headboard?
