Is the Harris sectional good for families?

Yes. Performance fabric options and reversible cushions make it more forgiving of spills and daily wear than standard upholstery. Rotate the cushions regularly to even out wear.

How big a room does it need?

At 140 inches wide and 39 inches deep, it needs a large room with clear walking space around the U. Measure doorways and hallways before delivery.

What is the difference between Petite and Standard depth?

Petite is 35 inches deep and Standard is 39 inches deep. Petite saves floor space; Standard gives more room to lounge.

Are the cushions and covers removable?

The cushions are removable and reversible. Check the specific fabric's care instructions before washing any covers.

The five sectional pieces ship separately and assemble on site. Legs are removable and attach during setup.

Our take on the West Elm Harris Bench 5-Piece U-Shaped Sectional

The West Elm Harris Bench 5-Piece U-Shaped Sectional is a 140-inch-wide U-shaped seating group built on a kiln-dried engineered hardwood frame with fiber-wrapped, high-resiliency foam cushions. It stands out for reversible cushions, removable legs and a choice of performance fabrics, including Performance Distressed Velvet. The U shape seats a crowd and defines a room, so it suits large open living spaces more than small apartments.
