The Yamaha Rydeen RDP2F5 is a full-size 5-piece acoustic kit with 6-ply poplar shells, a 22" bass drum, 10" and 12" rack toms, a 16" floor tom and a 14" snare. It ships with Yamaha's CL940LB tom holders and the HW-680W hardware pack, which uses double-braced stands. Poplar gives a warm, rounded tone rather than the brighter attack of birch or maple, which suits practice rooms and small stages. At $829.99 at Irvine Art And Music as of November 7, 2026, it sits at the low end of what full-size 5-piece kits with hardware cost new.

Owner feedback on the Rydeen line is generally positive for the money: a solid, well-built kit with reliable Yamaha hardware. Most criticism centers on the stock heads and the snare, and on the kit being heavier and bulkier than expected.
