Is the 6-inch ZINUS hybrid firm enough for an adult?

It is rated medium and supports up to 250 lbs in twin and 500 lbs in larger sizes. Most adults find it adequate for guest or occasional use; heavier sleepers may want the 8- or 12-inch version.

What size is the narrow twin?

The narrow twin is 75 x 30 inches, 8 inches narrower than a standard twin. That makes it a fit for bunk beds, trundles, day beds and some RVs.

Does it need a box spring?

No. It works on a platform bed, slatted frame or adjustable base. A box spring adds height but is not required.

How long does it take to expand after unboxing?

ZINUS says to allow up to 72 hours for the mattress to fully expand. It is usable sooner, but the corners may take a day or two to fill out.

Is $89.99 a good price?

That is the lowest new price among the five stores listing it as of November 4, 2026, and sits at the low end of its recent range. It is a fair price for a budget hybrid.
