Questions and answers

Which is better for a bright living room?
Neither is the brighter pick by spec; both are standard OLED panels with Dolby Vision. The B6E adds Ambient Light Technology, which adjusts picture to room light. For a large bright room, the 55-inch B6E is the more practical size.
Which has the better picture?
Both are 4K OLED with 120Hz and Dolby Vision, so contrast and black levels are close. The B6E uses the newer Alpha 8 Gen3 processor, which LG says improves AI processing and upscaling.
Is the B5 worth the extra $100?
Only if you need the smaller 48-inch size. At $899.99 versus $799.99 at Best Buy as of November 7, 2026, the B6E gives you a larger screen and a newer processor for less.
Which is better for gaming?
The B6E edges ahead with FreeSync Premium and a 0.1ms response time, alongside 120Hz and G-Sync. The B5 also has 120Hz, G-Sync and FreeSync, so both handle consoles well.
Which works with more smart home systems?

How have prices moved?
The B6E has stayed between $669.99 and $799.99 since October 27, 2026. The B5's daily low hit $299.99 on November 6, 2026, far below its $899.99 new price, so watch for clearance deals.
