    • Questions and answers

Is the Alex 12V go kart worth it for a 4-year-old?
At $119.99 it is a reasonable first powered ride-on. The 2.8 MPH top speed and two-position seat fit a 4-year-old well. Expect it to be outgrown by around age 6.
How fast does it go and how long does the battery last?
Top speed is 2.8 MPH. The 4.5Ah battery's runtime per charge is not stated, so plan on shorter sessions and recharge after each use.
Can it be used on grass?
It is best on flat pavement such as driveways and sidewalks. Small wheels and a 2.8 MPH motor make grass and gravel slow going.
What is included in the box?
The kart, battery and charger are the core contents; check the listing for the full parts list. Assembly is required before first use.
Does the foldable design make it easy to store?
Yes. The frame folds, which helps in a garage or closet. The seat has two positions to fit a growing child.
When is the best time to buy it?
Holiday sales and spring outdoor-toy promotions are the usual windows for lower prices. At $119.99 at Wayfair as of November 3, 2026, it is the only new price listed.
