Our take on the Ablevision 55w Hid Xenon Kit Headlights Slim Ballast Single Beam and Bi-xenon Options

An aftermarket HID conversion kit from AbleVision with 55W AC ballasts, offered in single-beam and bi-xenon (H4 hi/lo) versions. The 4300K bulbs give a warm white light close to factory halogen color, and the AC ballasts are the selling point over cheaper DC kits. The best new price is $29.99 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, the only new listing tracked, so there is no recent price range to compare against.

  • Low entry price at $29.99
Cons

Questions and answers

Is this kit worth it over a cheap DC ballast kit?
If you want longer ballast life and steadier brightness, the AC design is the better pick. At $29.99 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, the price gap to DC kits is small.
Will this fit my car?
Fitment is universal, but you must match the bulb number to your housing. The listing covers H1 single beam and H4 bi-xenon, so confirm which your car uses before ordering.
Is an HID kit legal on the road?
In many US states, HID bulbs in halogen reflector housings are not street legal. Check your local rules and aim the lights after install.
Do I need a relay harness?
Not always, but some cars need one to stop flicker or bulb-out warnings. A relay harness also protects the factory wiring.
What color is the light?
4300K, a warm white close to factory halogen. It is less blue than 6000K and 8000K kits.
Is there a warranty?
No. The kit is sold without a written warranty, so buy from a store with a return policy.
Where is the Ablevision 55w Hid Xenon Kit Headlights Slim Ballast Single Beam and Bi-xenon Options cheapest?
At Walmart, for $29.99, as of our latest check.
