Our take on the Alrocket 1500W PTC Ceramic Tower Space Heater with Remote

The Alrocket is a 1500W PTC ceramic tower heater with a remote, thermostat, timer and three safety shutoffs: overheat, tip-over and automatic. It is rated for rooms up to 300 sq. ft., so it suits a bedroom or office rather than an open living area. At $52.79 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it sits at the low end of what a remote-controlled ceramic tower costs. Only one store prices it new, so there is no second quote to compare against.

Best forBedrooms and home offices up to 300 sq. ft.Buyers who want a remote and timer under $60Households with kids or pets who need tip-over shutoff
Pros
  • Remote control plus thermostat and timer
  • Three safety cutoffs: overheat, tip-over, auto shutoff

Cons
  • 1500W draws about 12.5A, near a 15A circuit limit
  • Fan-driven heat is audible in a bedroom
  • 300 sq. ft. rating is optimistic in a cold, open room
  • Only one store lists it, so price competition is thin

Questions and answers

Is the Alrocket tower heater worth $52.79?
For a bedroom or office under 300 sq. ft., yes: remote, thermostat, timer and three safety shutoffs are a lot for the price. If you need to heat a large open room, spend more on a bigger unit.
How much does it cost to run?
At 1500W it uses about 1.5 kWh per hour on high, so roughly 15 to 25 cents an hour at typical US electricity rates. Running it on a lower setting or with the thermostat cuts that.
Can it run on a standard outlet?
Yes, but at 1500W it pulls about 12.5A, close to a 15A circuit's limit. Plug it into its own outlet and avoid sharing the circuit with another heater or a microwave.
Does the remote need line of sight?
The remote is infrared, so it needs a clear path to the front panel. It will not work from another room or from behind furniture.
What safety features does it have?
Overheat protection, a tip-over switch and automatic shutoff, in a V0 flame-retardant housing. It is indoor use only.
When is it cheapest?
Space heaters usually drop in late fall promotions and after the holidays. With one store listing it, watch that listing rather than expecting a price war.
Where is the Alrocket 1500W PTC Ceramic Tower Space Heater with Remote cheapest?
At Walmart, for $52.79, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Alrocket 1500W PTC Ceramic Tower Space Heater with Remote?
Rated 4.2 out of 5 from 55 ratings.
