Is the Ariens Snow Blower Cab worth it?

If you clear snow in open, windy areas, it is one of the cheapest upgrades that improves comfort. For sheltered driveways and light snow, the stock machine is fine without it.

Will it fit my Ariens snow blower?

It fits the specific Ariens model numbers listed in the fitment chart, spanning Classic, Compact, Deluxe, Platinum and Trak two-stage machines. Check your model plate against that list before buying; it does not fit other brands.

Does installation require drilling?

No. The kit uses a special clamp and common hand tools, so the frame attaches without drilling holes in the machine.

Can I still reach the chute controls with the cab on?

Yes. The front is open so the chute crank and controls stay accessible while the cab shields your upper body.

Our take on the Ariens Snow Blower Cab

The Ariens Snow Blower Cab is a fabric-and-steel enclosure that mounts over the operator station of most Ariens two-stage snow blowers. A powder-coated steel tube frame holds a durable fabric shell with freeze-resistant windows, and it clamps on without drilling. The open front keeps the chute controls reachable. At $163.95 at Mowtown Lochen Equipment as of November 3, 2026, it sits near the low end of the range across the five stores that list it new.
