Questions and answers

Is the Ashley Strumford bar stool worth it?
At $129.49 at Hudson's Furniture as of November 3, 2026, it is a reasonable buy for a swivel stool with an adjustable footrest. It suits counter and bar use, but the partial back is not built for long lounging.
What height counter does it fit?
The seat height adjusts, so it can be set for a standard 36-inch counter or a taller bar. Check the seat height range against your counter before ordering, since the 42.5-inch overall height is the top of the back, not the seat.
Does it swivel and have a footrest?
Yes. The seat swivels, and the metal footrest is adjustable. Both are listed features, and the footrest is included.
How many stools should I buy for a kitchen island?
Allow about 24 to 26 inches of width per stool, so a 6-foot island fits two or three. The stool is 19.75 inches deep, so it needs clearance behind the counter for the swivel.
Is it easy to assemble?
It comes in parts and needs assembly. Owners report it is doable but takes longer than expected, and a few report wobble that needs the base bolts retightened.
When is the price lowest?
The current best is $129.49 at Hudson's Furniture as of November 3, 2026, across 5 stores. Stool prices often drop around Black Friday and moving season, so check the price history before buying a set.
Where is the Ashley Strumford Bar Stool cheapest?
At Hudson's Furniture, for $129.49, 19% under what the other stores charge, as of our latest check.
