Our take on the Balsam Hill BH Balsam Fir Artificial Christmas Tree

The BH Balsam Fir is Balsam Hill's flagship artificial fir, here in a 7.5-foot pre-lit version with 1,200 clear warm-white LEDs and the Twinkly Light Show app control. It uses PE (polyethylene) molded branch tips for a fuller, more realistic look than PVC-only trees, in a classic teardrop silhouette. Its best new price is $599 at Amazon as of November 5, 2026, with two stores listing it new.

Questions and answers

Is the BH Balsam Fir worth $599?
If realism and pre-lit convenience matter more than budget, yes. At $599 at Amazon as of November 5, 2026, it sits at the premium end of artificial trees, so compare against Balsam Hill's own sales before buying.
How is it different from Balsam Hill's Vermont White Spruce?
The Balsam Fir has a denser, softer needle look and a classic teardrop shape; the Vermont White Spruce has more open, upward-angled branches. Choose the fir for fullness, the spruce for a sparser, more natural silhouette.
Do I need the Twinkly app to use the lights?
No. The 1,200 lights work with the included controller and Easy Plug wiring without the app. The Twinkly app is only needed for custom colors, schedules and light shows.
How tall is it assembled, and what ceiling height does it need?
It stands 7.5 feet tall, so plan for a ceiling of at least 8 feet to leave room for a topper. Measure your space before ordering, since the wide profile needs floor clearance too.
When is the best time to buy it?
Artificial trees typically discount most in early November and again right after Christmas. Track the price history here and buy when it drops below the recent range.
Where is the Balsam Hill BH Balsam Fir Artificial Christmas Tree cheapest?
At Amazon, for $599.00, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Balsam Hill BH Balsam Fir Artificial Christmas Tree?
4 stores we checked sell it, including Balsam Hill, Amazon, ModeSens, Williams-Sonoma.
