Our take on the Balsam Hill Unlit Classic Evergreen Spruce Artificial Christmas Tree

The Balsam Hill Classic Evergreen Spruce is a 7.5-foot artificial Christmas tree in the traditional full shape, made of PVC with a green finish. Despite the unlit name, this listing describes a pre-lit version with 550 clear LED lights, so confirm the light setup before buying. It is an indoor tree aimed at shoppers who want a dense, classic look without stringing lights. The best new price is $299 at Balsam Hill as of November 5, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is little price competition to shop around.

Questions and answers

Is this tree pre-lit or unlit?
The name says unlit, but the listed specs show 550 clear LED lights. Confirm with the store which version ships before you order.
Is $299 a good price for a 7.5 ft Balsam Hill tree?
It is the only new price listed as of November 5, 2026, so there is no competing store to compare against. Balsam Hill trees at this size often sell for more, so $299 is reasonable if the pre-lit specs are accurate.
How realistic does a PVC tree look?
PVC-only trees are full and even but look less natural up close than trees that mix in PE (molded plastic) tips. Expect a traditional, slightly shiny needle look.
What ceiling height does a 7.5 ft tree need?
Plan for at least 8 feet of ceiling, plus room for a topper. The tree itself is 7.5 ft tall before any decoration.
When is this tree cheapest?
Artificial trees usually discount most in late November and after Christmas. Watch the price history for drops around those windows.
Where is the Balsam Hill Unlit Classic Evergreen Spruce Artificial Christmas Tree cheapest?
At Balsam Hill, for $299.00, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Balsam Hill Unlit Classic Evergreen Spruce Artificial Christmas Tree?
Rated 3.8 out of 5 from 178 ratings.
