Questions and answers

Is the BeaverCraft S06 good for beginners?
Yes. The blades come sharpened to a 20-degree bevel and the compact size is easy to control, which suits first chip-carving projects.
What woods does it work best on?
Softwoods such as basswood, pine and butternut carve cleanly. Hardwoods dull the fine edge faster and need more frequent stropping.
Do the blades rust?
They are carbon steel, so they can rust. Wipe them dry after use and apply a light oil to keep them clean.
Does the set include sharpening tools?
No. It is a knife set only, so plan on a strop and polishing compound to keep the edges sharp.
