Is the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam worth it?

At $159 at Distritech as of November 3, it is a reasonable price for a steam-capable upright carpet cleaner. It suits pet owners and deep cleaning, but expect slower drying and a heavy machine.

How does it compare with the Bissell ProHeat 2X?

The HydroSteam adds a steam mode and a rinse and storage tray, while the ProHeat 2X line focuses on heated cleaning without steam. Both are uprights with dual tanks; the HydroSteam is the better pick if you want steam for stains.

How long does the cord and hose reach?

The cord is 25 feet, which covers most rooms without moving outlets. The cleaning path is 11 inches wide.

Does it work on stairs and area rugs?

Yes. Bissell lists carpet, area rugs and stairs as supported surfaces, and the carry handle helps on stairs, though the 10.2 kg weight makes it tiring.

The cleaner comes with a rinse and storage tray. Check the listing for included formula and attachments before buying.

Carpet cleaners usually drop during spring cleaning and holiday sales. The current $159 at Distritech as of November 3 is already near the low end of its recent range.
