Questions and answers

Is the 12.5 lb figure per dumbbell or for the pair?
It is per dumbbell. The pair weighs 25 lb total, and each hand adjusts up to 12.5 lb.
How much weight can each dumbbell hold?
12.5 lb per dumbbell. That suits light pressing, curling and raises, not heavy compound lifting.
How does the weight adjustment work?
You twist the handle to select weight in 2.5-lb increments. There are no knobs, pins or levers to pull.
Do the trays come with it?
Yes. Each dumbbell sits in its own tray, which holds the unused plates and is needed for changing weight.
Is this a good buy at $94.17?
At $94.17 at Walmart as of November 5, 2026, it is the lowest new price among the two stores listing it. Compare it with a set of fixed 5 to 12.5 lb dumbbells before deciding, since the range is limited.
Can I use these for heavy strength training?
No. At 12.5 lb per hand they fit light and high-rep work. For squats, rows or presses at real load you need heavier adjustable dumbbells.
Where can I buy the CAP Barbell ADJUSTABELL Adjustable Dumbbell Set, Premium Quick Select Adjustable Weights for Strength Training, 12.5 lb, Pair - Chrome and Black Handle?
