Our take on the Casio Privia PX-S6000 88-Key Digital Piano

The Casio Privia PX-S6000 is a slim, portable 88-key digital piano with weighted, touch-sensitive keys and a Smart Hybrid Hammer Action design that keeps the body shallow without giving up piano feel. It adds an LCD, Bluetooth wireless audio and MIDI, USB, three-pedal support, recording and split/layer modes, so it works as a home practice piano and a stage board. At $1,499.99 at Adorama as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the top of the Privia range, well above the PX-S1100 and PX-S3100, and near the price of Yamaha's P-225 and P-515 territory.

Questions and answers

Is the PX-S6000 worth $1,499.99?
It is worth it if you need a very slim 88-key weighted piano with Bluetooth audio and MIDI and a built-in display. If you mostly practice at home and do not need wireless, the cheaper PX-S3100 covers much of the same ground.
How does it compare with the PX-S3100?
The PX-S6000 adds a higher-end key action, a color LCD, Bluetooth audio and MIDI, and more sound-shaping controls. The PX-S3100 is lighter on features but costs several hundred dollars less.
Does it have Bluetooth?
Yes. It supports Bluetooth wireless for both audio playback and MIDI, so you can stream music through its speakers or use it as a controller with apps.
What is in the box?
You get the piano, a sustain pedal, a music rest and a power supply. A stand and bench are sold separately, and the three-pedal unit is an optional add-on.
Is it good for beginners?
Yes. The 88 weighted keys, metronome, split mode and recording make it a solid first piano, though beginners can spend less on the PX-S1100 and still get weighted keys.
When is it cheapest?
Casio slab pianos tend to dip during holiday sales and back-to-school promotions. The current best new price is $1,499.99 at Adorama as of November 3, 2026, across 6 stores.
Where is the Casio Privia PX-S6000 88-Key Digital Piano cheapest?
At Adorama, for $1,499.99, as of our latest check.
Where can I buy the Casio Privia PX-S6000 88-Key Digital Piano?
