Is this desk worth buying?

If you need a cheap desk with drawers and will not put heavy equipment on it, yes. If you want furniture that survives several moves, spend more on solid wood or metal.

How long does assembly take?

Most people need one to two hours with two people. The tools are included, but sorting the hardware before starting saves time.

Can the file drawer hold hanging folders?

It is sized for standard letter files, but check the internal drawer dimensions before buying if you use legal-size folders.

How much weight can the top hold?

Wood-composite tops of this type handle a monitor, laptop and lamp comfortably. Keep heavy printers or stacks of books off it.

Does it come with a chair or monitor stand?

No. The box contains the desk panels, drawers, hardware and tools only.

When is the price lowest?

Budget desks like this usually dip during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Check the price history before buying outside those windows.

Our take on the Costway 2-Drawer Computer Desk Study Table

The Costway 2-Drawer Computer Desk is a budget wood-composite desk with two built-in drawers, one of them a file drawer, sold flat-packed for adult assembly with tools included. It is a basic, functional work surface rather than a furniture piece built to last decades. Its price sits at the low end of what two-drawer desks cost, which is the main reason to consider it.
