Our take on the Crane Mini Adorable Unicorn Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier

The Crane Mini Adorable Unicorn is a small tabletop ultrasonic cool-mist humidifier shaped like a unicorn head. It holds 0.5 gallons, runs at up to 50 dB on three speeds, and shuts off automatically when the tank empties. Crane rates it for rooms up to 500 square feet, though a half-gallon tank means frequent refills in a large room. At $27.00 at eBay as of November 3, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range across the five stores that list it new.

Questions and answers

Is $27 a good price for this humidifier?
It is the lowest of the five new listings as of November 3, 2026, so it is a strong price against the current spread. Crane's mini humidifiers typically sell for more at full retail.
How often do I need to refill it?
The tank holds 0.5 gallons. On low in a small bedroom that lasts roughly a night; on high it will run dry in a few hours.
Is it quiet enough for a nursery?
It is rated at 50 dB, which is about the level of a quiet conversation. Most owners find low speed acceptable for sleep, but high speed is noticeable.
Does it need a filter?
No. It uses no filter, so there is nothing to replace. Rinse the tank and base regularly to prevent mineral buildup.
Will it humidify a 500-square-foot room?
It can add moisture to a room that size, but the small tank limits how long it runs. It suits a bedroom or office better than an open living area.
What comes in the box?
The humidifier, a removable 0.5-gallon tank and a power adapter. Mist output is adjustable across three speeds.
