Questions and answers

Is the Drolet Escape 2100 worth it?
For a large home that heats mainly with wood, yes. It delivers up to 110,000 BTU/h at 77% optimum efficiency and is EPA 2020 certified. Budget for the chimney and optional blower on top of the $1,599 stove price at Ziggy's Home Improvement as of November 4, 2026.
How does it compare with the Escape 1800?
The 2100 is the larger stove. It is rated for up to 2,700 sq ft and 110,000 BTU/h, so it suits bigger or more open spaces than the 1800. Choose the 1800 for smaller rooms where the 2100 would be oversized.
Can it go in a mobile home?
Yes. Drolet lists it for mobile home and alcove installation, which many wood stoves are not approved for. You still need the specified UL103HT chimney and the 84-inch clearance from the base of the unit to the ceiling.
Does it come with a blower?
No. The blower is optional. The stove works without one, but a blower helps push warm air into adjoining rooms in larger spaces.
What size flue and chimney does it need?
It has a 6-inch flue outlet and vents into a UL103HT wood chimney. Plan the chimney run before buying, since it is a major part of the installed cost.
When is the price lowest?
Wood stoves usually discount in spring and early summer, outside the heating season. The best new price seen is $1,599 at Ziggy's Home Improvement as of November 4, 2026, across three stores listing it new.
Where is the Drolet Escape 2100 Wood Stove cheapest?
At Ziggy’s Home Improvement, for $1,599.00, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Drolet Escape 2100 Wood Stove?
