Is the Fellow Opus good for espresso?

Yes, it grinds fine enough for espresso and the inner ring lets you make small adjustments. The steps are not as fine as a stepless espresso grinder, so dialing in some beans takes a few tries.

How is the Opus different from the Fellow Ode?

The Ode is a flat-burr grinder aimed at filter coffee only. The Opus uses conical burrs and covers espresso through cold brew, so it is the better pick if you want one grinder for everything.

What is included with the Fellow Opus?

The grinder ships with a magnetic catch cup that fits 54mm Breville and 58mm commercial portafilters. No other accessories are listed.

How much coffee can the Opus grind at once?

The hopper holds 110 g, about 3.5 ounces. That is enough for a few cups or a small batch, but not for large brew sessions.

When is the Fellow Opus cheapest?

The best new price found was $142.47 at eBay as of November 4, 2026. Sale periods and holiday promotions are when it typically drops below its usual retail price.

Our take on the Fellow Opus

The Fellow Opus is an all-purpose conical burr grinder built for brew methods from espresso to cold brew. It uses a 40mm six-blade stainless steel burr set spinning at 350 RPM with dual adjustment rings: an inner ring for fine espresso tuning and an outer ring for wide brew-method changes. The 110 g hopper and timed autostop make single-dose or small-batch grinding simple, and the magnetic catch cup fits 54mm Breville and 58mm commercial portafilters. At $142.47 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range, with two stores listing it new.
