Questions and answers

How does the touchless lid work?

A motion sensor in the lid detects a hand or object above it and opens automatically. You close it manually or let it cycle, depending on the model's setting.

What size trash bags fit a 14.5-gallon can?

Use 13- to 16-gallon kitchen bags. Standard 13-gallon tall kitchen bags will stretch but may slip down the rim.

Does it need batteries or a power outlet?

Automatic lids of this type usually run on batteries, often AA or C cells. Check the battery compartment before buying if you want to avoid cords.

Is $89.99 a good price for this can?

It is the only new price found, at Lowe's as of November 6, 2026. Comparable 14-gallon stainless steel sensor cans often sell for $80 to $130, so it sits in the lower half of that range.

Will the sensor open when a pet walks by?

It can. Motion sensors trigger on movement within range, so a pet passing close to the lid may set it off.

What are the dimensions and weight?

The listing gives a 14.5-gallon capacity and 11.62 lb weight capacity but no exact height or width. Confirm dimensions with the store before ordering for a tight space.

Where is the GAOMON Automatic Trash Can with Lid 14.5 Gallon Touchless Garbage Can cheapest?
