Is the Ginsey soft seat worth it?

At $28.81 at Home Depot as of November 4, 2026, it is a low-cost way to add cushioning to an elongated toilet. Expect to replace it sooner than a solid plastic or wood seat.

Will it fit my toilet?

It fits elongated bowls only. Check your bowl shape before buying, since a round toilet needs a different seat.

How do I clean a cushioned toilet seat?

Wipe it with mild soap and water or a mild cleaner. Avoid harsh solvents and abrasives, which can dry out or crack the vinyl.

Does it come with mounting hardware?

Yes, the hardware is included. The plastic hinges bolt to the bowl and are meant to resist wiggling when tightened.

How does it compare with a wooden seat?

It is softer and warmer than wood, but wood is more durable and easier to disinfect. The Ginsey is the better pick for comfort on a budget.

Cushioned seats often dip during bathroom and home-improvement sales. Compare the three stores listing it new before buying.
