Is the Nova padded toilet seat worth $30?

At $30.00 at Medic Pharmacy as of November 4, 2026, it is a cheap way to add cushioning without replacing the seat. It suits short-term recovery or travel better than a permanent upgrade, given the thin pad and strap mounting.

Will it fit my toilet?

The listing is inconsistent: it says 800 x 300 mm (about 31.5 x 11.8 in) in the specs and 14 x 15.75 in in the description. Measure your seat and bowl before ordering, and treat the elongated/universal claim with caution.

How does it attach, and does it shift?

It attaches with four Velcro straps around the existing seat, with no tools. Straps hold it reasonably well but can loosen with use, so check and retighten them.

What is the weight limit?

The listed capacity is 250 lb. Heavier users should look at a replacement seat with a higher rating.

The padded seat and attachment straps. The listing also mentions a 1.8 m USB cable, which does not belong to a toilet seat, so do not count on it.

Only 3 stores list it new, so compare all three. The current $30.00 at Medic Pharmacy is at the low end of its recent range.

Our take on the Nova Large Padded Toilet Seat

The Nova Large Padded Toilet Seat is a cushioned overlay that straps onto an existing toilet seat with four Velcro straps, no tools needed. It is aimed at people who want softer seating, such as post-surgery recovery, limited mobility or travel use. The listing mixes specs: it calls itself elongated and universal, but the stated size of 800 x 300 mm (about 31.5 x 11.8 in) does not match the 14 x 15.75 in dimensions in the description, so measure your bowl before buying. At $30.00 at Medic Pharmacy as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range across the 3 stores that list it new.
