Is the Greenworks 60V riding mower worth $3,997?

It makes sense if you want gas-free mowing on up to about 1.5 acres and value quiet operation and low maintenance. At $3,997 from a single seller as of November 4, 2026, it costs more than many gas tractors of similar deck size, so compare against those before buying.

How long does it run on a charge?

Greenworks rates coverage at up to 1.5 acres with the four included 60V 8.0Ah batteries. Runtime falls in tall or wet grass, so charge all four packs before a full cut.

Does it come with a bagger?

No. The bagger is sold separately. The mower mulches out of the box, and you can side discharge.

How does it compare with a gas riding mower?

It is quieter, starts instantly and needs no gas or oil changes. A gas tractor of the same price typically has a wider deck and refuels in minutes instead of waiting on batteries.

What comes in the box?

The mower, four 60V 8.0Ah batteries and a charger. The bagger and any other attachments are extra.

When is the best time to buy?

Mower prices tend to dip at the end of the mowing season and around spring sales. With only one store listing it new as of November 4, 2026, watch that listing for markdowns rather than expecting cross-store competition.
