Is the Kobalt 24V Max circular saw worth it?

It is a good buy at $109.95 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026 if you already own Kobalt 24V Max batteries. The bare-tool price is low for a brushless saw, but budget for a battery and charger if you are starting fresh.

Does it come with a battery and charger?

No. It is sold as a bare tool, so you need a Kobalt 24V Max battery and charger, which are sold separately.

It cuts 2.19 inches deep at 90 degrees, which Kobalt says matches a 7-1/4-inch blade saw. Depth drops as you bevel toward 50 degrees.

What blade does it take?

It uses a 6-1/2-inch blade with a 5/8-inch arbor. The listing also mentions a 7-1/4-inch blade length, so check the arbor and blade size on the tool before buying a replacement.

How does it compare with the Kobalt 7-1/4-inch saw?

This saw is lighter at 6.5 lbs and cuts to the same 2.19-inch depth, but the 7-1/4-inch model takes more common blades and handles deeper bevel cuts. Choose this one for weight and the larger one for full-size framing.

Bare-tool Kobalt saws tend to drop during holiday sales and when Kobalt runs battery promotions. The current best new price is $109.95 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026.

Our take on the Kobalt 24V Max Cordless Circular Saw

The Kobalt 24V Max is a brushless 6-1/2-inch cordless circular saw that runs on Kobalt's 24V Max battery platform. It has an electric brake and a dust chute, but no laser guide, no variable speed and no rafter hook. The best new price is $109.95 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, with 3 stores selling it new.
