Is the Ktaxon folding picnic table worth it at $81?

At $81 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is cheap for a wood table plus two benches. Expect to assemble it and to protect the wood if it stays outside.

How many people does it seat?

Four. The set has one rectangular table and two benches, each seating two.

Does it fold up for storage?

Yes. The table and benches fold flat, which is the main reason to pick it over a fixed picnic table.

Can it stay outside in the rain?

It is built for outdoor use, but the wood is natural and unfinished-looking, so cover it or treat it with a sealer to prevent graying and swelling.

What is included in the box?

One folding table and two folding benches, plus the hardware for assembly. Assembly is required.

How much weight does it hold?

The set is rated for a maximum load of 400 lb total, so plan on four average adults rather than heavy use.

Pros

Folds flat, so it stores in a shed or closet
Two separate benches let you arrange seating around the table
Wood top and seats look warmer than resin or plastic
Rated for 400 lb total across the set
Low price for a three-piece set at $81

Cons

Assembly is required

Natural wood needs sealing or covering to survive rain and sun
400 lb total is modest for four adults plus food
Only one store lists it new, so price competition is thin
