Is the Ktaxon twin platform bed worth it?

At $119.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is cheap for a pine frame with a headboard. If you want a simple bed for a guest or kid's room and can handle assembly, it is reasonable value.

Does it need a box spring?

No. It is a platform bed with a slatted base, so a twin mattress sits directly on the frame.

How much weight does it hold?

The listed maximum load is 551.16 lb, which is generous for a twin and covers an adult plus bedding.

What size mattress fits?

A standard twin mattress. The headboard is 38.98 in wide, so check your mattress width against that.

Is it hard to assemble?

Assembly is required and the frame ships flat. Budget an hour or two and have a second person help with the headboard.

Only Walmart lists it new at $119.99 as of November 4, 2026, so there is no competing price to wait for. Watch for seasonal furniture sales rather than store-to-store gaps.
