Questions and answers

Is the Ktaxon electric fireplace heater worth it?

At $68.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026, it is cheap for a fireplace-style heater. The lack of an NRTL listing is the main reason to hesitate before buying.

How much space will it heat?

Ktaxon rates it for rooms up to 250 sq ft. That covers a bedroom or small den, not an open living area.

Does it need a special outlet?

It runs on standard 120 V and pulls about 12.5 A at 1,500 W. Plug it into a dedicated circuit and avoid sharing the outlet with other high-draw appliances.

What is in the box?

The listing counts three pieces, which typically means the heater, the remote and the stand or hardware. Check the box contents before assembly.

Is the flame real?

No. It is an electric flame effect with no combustion and no venting. The heat comes from the 1,500 W element.

When is it cheapest?

Only one new price is listed, $68.99 at Walmart as of November 4, 2026. Watch for seasonal markdowns in late winter, when space heaters usually drop.

Where is the Ktaxon Freestanding Electric Fireplace Heater cheapest?

At Walmart, for $68.99, as of our latest check.
