Is the Lasko Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier worth it?

For a bedroom or small office, yes. It is cheap, quiet and needs no filters, but the small tank means frequent refills.

How often do I need to refill it?

The tank holds 0.74 gallons, so expect to refill roughly once a day on low output, more often on higher settings.

No. It has no filters to replace, which keeps running costs low.

Lasko rates it for rooms up to 300 square feet. It is not a whole-house humidifier.

Yes, but hard tap water can leave a fine white dust on surfaces. Distilled water reduces that.
