Our take on the Mecale 20V Cordless 3/8 in. Impact Wrench Kit with Battery, Charger and 5 Sockets

The Mecale 20V Cordless Impact Wrench Kit is a budget-priced cordless wrench with a 3/8 in. drive and a claimed 280 ft-lb of torque, sold with a battery, charger and five sockets. That torque figure is high for a 3/8 in. compact-class tool, so expect it to be strongest on lug nuts and light suspension work rather than heavy truck service. At $104.98 at Lowe's as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against. It is a kit-first buy: one battery and charger included, with no bare-tool option shown.

Best forDIYers changing tires and doing brake work at homeBuyers who want a complete kit with battery, charger and socketsLight auto and trailer maintenance where a 3/8 in. drive is enoughOccasional use where a pro-grade brand cannot be justified
Pros
  • Kit includes battery, charger and five sockets, so it runs out of the box
  • 280 ft-lb claimed torque is strong for a 3/8 in. cordless wrench
  • 20V platform is common and easy to find chargers and batteries for
  • 3/8 in. drive fits most passenger-car lug nuts and engine-bay fasteners
  • Low entry price for a full cordless kit
Cons
  • Single listed price means no discount history to judge the deal
  • 280 ft-lb is a claimed peak figure; real breakaway torque is usually lower
  • One battery in the kit means downtime while it charges
  • No bare-tool option, so you pay for a battery even if you own the platform
  • Mecale is a small brand, so parts and warranty support are less proven than major tool brands

Questions and answers

Is the Mecale 20V impact wrench worth it for home tire changes?
For occasional lug nuts and brake jobs, yes: it is a full kit at $104.98 at Lowe's as of November 4, 2026. If you torque wheels weekly or work on trucks, a higher-torque 1/2 in. tool from a major brand is the safer buy.
Does 280 ft-lb remove stuck lug nuts?
It should handle most passenger-car lug nuts, which are typically tightened to 80–100 ft-lb. Rusted or over-torqued fasteners may still need a breaker bar, since peak torque claims are measured under ideal conditions.
What comes in the box?
The kit includes the wrench, one 20V battery, a charger and five sockets. Check the socket sizes against your lug nuts before buying.
Can I use other 20V batteries with it?
Only if they share Mecale's battery mount; most 20V brands use different slides and will not fit. Buy a spare Mecale battery if you plan long sessions.
Is a 3/8 in. drive enough, or should I get 1/2 in.?
3/8 in. is lighter and fits most car and small-engine work. Step up to 1/2 in. if you service trucks, heavy trailers or rusted suspension bolts.
When is the best time to buy?
Only one new price is listed, $104.98 at Lowe's as of November 4, 2026, so there is no sale pattern to time. Cordless tool kits usually drop around Black Friday and spring tool events.
Where is the Mecale 20V Cordless 3/8 in. Impact Wrench Kit with Battery, Charger and 5 Sockets cheapest?
At Lowe's, for $104.98, as of our latest check.
