Is this sofa bed comfortable enough for nightly sleeping?

For occasional guests, yes. For every night, expect to add a mattress topper, since folding sleepers at this size typically use thin foam over a metal frame.

How many people can sleep on it?

One adult comfortably, or two small children. At 66 inches long it is shorter than a standard twin, so tall sleepers will hang off the end.

Does it come in other colors?

Yes. It is offered in black, pink and green velvet, all in a solid pattern with tufting.

How big is it as a sofa?

It is 66 inches long, which seats two adults closely. Measure your doorway and stairwell before ordering, since a piece this wide can be awkward to move in.

What is included in the box?

The sofa, its folding frame and the legs, flat-packed for assembly. Tools and instructions are usually included, but check the listing for the exact contents.

When is the best time to buy?

Furniture discounts cluster around holiday sales and end-of-season clearances. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.

Our take on the Mercer41 66" Velvet Sofa Bed

The Mercer41 66" Velvet Sofa Bed is a tufted velvet convertible sofa that folds flat into a sleeper, sized for small living rooms, studios and guest rooms. At 66 inches long it seats two tightly and sleeps one adult comfortably. Velvet upholstery and button tufting give it a dressier look than most budget sleepers. It is a fashion-first piece, so check the frame and mattress construction before you count on it for nightly sleeping.
