Is this rug soft enough to sit on?

It is a flat weave at 0.15 in thick, so it is firm rather than plush. It works over a pad or carpet but is not a lounging rug.

Does it need a rug pad?

Yes, a pad is recommended. The flat weave can slide on hard floors, and a pad adds cushioning and grip.

Will an 8' x 10' rug fit my room?

It suits a living room seating group or under a queen bed with room on each side. Measure your space and leave 12 to 18 inches of floor around the edges.

Vacuum regularly on a low setting and blot spills right away. For deeper cleaning, follow the care label or have it professionally cleaned.

Is it good for homes with pets?

The low flat weave is easy to vacuum, but the dark beige shows light pet hair. A pad helps keep it in place with active pets.

When is the best time to buy?

Large rugs often drop during seasonal sales and holiday events. Check the price history before buying to see if the current price is near its low.

Our take on the nuLOOM Else 8' x 10' Area Rug, Dark Beige

The nuLOOM Else is an 8' x 10' flat-woven area rug in dark beige with a subtle spot pattern. It is handmade from synthetic fiber and only 0.15 in thick, so it lies low under doors and furniture. At 8' x 10' it fits a living room seating group or a queen bed. It is a budget-priced decorative rug rather than a plush comfort rug.
